We’re updating patient statements to make them easier for patients to read and for staff to explain, with a clearer layout and more meaningful detail.
The new statement design will include:
  • Patient name, payor name, and payor address
  • Statement date and statement period range
  • Amount due now, clearly broken down by A/R aging buckets (0–30, 31–60, etc.)
  • A balance forward from the previous statement to show any prior outstanding balance
Each statement will list all transactions within the statement period — such as:
  • Charges
  • Payments
  • Adjustments
  • Transfers (to/from other payors, including insurance)
  • Corrections
  • And any other transaction types that affect the balance
For mass statements, used in collections, only accounts with a balance due will be included, showing transactions from the past month.
A ledger statement option will also be available to show all transactions within any chosen date range, including the balance forward and full activity history.
This update is designed to bring more clarity and context to every statement, making it easier to see what’s owed, what’s been paid, and how each transaction contributes to the current balance.
