The Greyfinch public API is a new feature aimed at providing developers with a comprehensive and user-friendly interface to access and manipulate data related to the Greyfinch platform. This feature will enable seamless integration of Greyfinch services into third-party applications, offering enhanced functionality and data access capabilities.
The goals of the API are as follows
- Enable Integration: Allow external developers to integrate with the Greyfinch platform easily accessing the main Greyfinch domains - patient profile, schedule and appointments, document, images, patient timeline and more.
- Enhanced Data Access: Provide developers with comprehensive access to Greyfinch platform data and functionality with a GraphQL engine and a callback mechanism for external clients using a subscription mechanism (event streaming).
- Improve Developer Experience: Offer clear and well-documented APIs with a user-friendly developer portal and useful tools such as a Postman Collection and sample snippets of code in common languages.
- Security: Ensure robust security measures to protect both Greyfinch patient data and user data.
- Scalability: Build a scalable API infrastructure to handle increased traffic and future growth.

Does this mean we can now integrate with Gaidge and other third party companies?

Adelina Das: Both Gaidge and ourselves have some API work to do in order to kick off an integration (we have to publish financial APIs). It's on both our roadmaps. The API (connect.greyfinch.com) is available however for others to integrate with your clinical data. We will be rolling out a number of integrations this year from Q3 onwards.
