We transitioned to Greyfinch to make our practice more efficient, not being able to communicate within the software is complicating processes for us. We don't want to have to set up another vendor with HIPAA risks, pay for another service, and add yet another login and step for people to be able to communicate. We have email but this is not the same thing and we want messaging in real-time with pop-ups and the ability to click on patient charts within the software.

HIPAA-compliant internal messaging is something we're actively planning for. We want to make sure we do it properly as part of a broader communications update rather than ship something lightweight that doesn't fully meet the need. We don't have a firm timeline to share yet, but it's on our roadmap and we'll update this post as things become clearer.

This was a big surprise for our office that it didn't exist. How do offices function without it?

I transitioned from dolphin to GF and am missing an internal messaging system. It would be nice to have a HIPAA compliant way of communicating within the office. As well as alerts that pop up in GF for internal messaging. We are currently using slack, but many times messages are missed if a team member steps away from their computer. Additionally. dolphin had a function where we were able to search internal conversations regarding specific patients.

Since transitioning from CL9 to GF, we’ve noticed issues with communication efficiency. The lack of an integrated messaging system requires us to toggle between multiple windows, resulting in missed alerts and delays in real-time communication. Currently, staff often have to physically leave their desks or patients to ensure important messages are received. To provide the best patient care, we need a more seamless way to communicate rapidly within the same platform.

Coming from C9 to GF as of this week --> that is one of the biggest things that we do not like. We have 17 Team members and people who work from different locations at times and being able to easily message in real time about patients wihtout having to have multiple windows open or another login up and running is simply more effective and efficient. We dont want to have everyone have a Google Chat or Slack open and have to bounce between them to check for messages. Prefer to keep it simple and HIPAA compliant and all in one.

Our office is highly requesting this too. We would find significant value in keeping communication on the same platform because GreyFinch is the tab that's open on all computers, so we don't need to download separate apps for just communication.
