Can there be a way to simplify the refund process? The beta ledger is still very confusing and takes a lot of time to try to navigate. I would like to be able to have a clean refund process and receipt to give to patients.

We are at feature parity with the old ledger at this point so we are opening the beta to all our beta customers. Depending on feedback, it'll be open for general release in 4-6 weeks. Thanks for your patience in this.

I appreciate your'e working on a new one as the current one is so confusing. I'm willing to try the new version in the trial version, also the system I've been using before Greyfinch has a simply easy way to navigate and I'm more than willing to share my screen with you to show you the good features about it and the ease to understanding Insurance receivables, as well as patients balances and dues. Thanks

Any update on when we can expect this?

Brandy Griffies-Eastman: It's in development right now, and we're focusing on getting a readonly version first, by which time, we can give to some customers who want to play with it and give feedback on it, as it will be the clinic's real data. They'll be able to switch to the old / new version. Then we'll begin the update features. We hope to have something solid by May, but unlikely to be available for general release by then.

Any update on this? Currently the "bulk payment" option only allows posting multiple payments for the same payment. Most of the bulk payments received have multiple (sometimes 30+ patients) and it can be confusing going back and forth from an EOB to each patient's individual ledger to ensure the payment is posted.

We’ve begun work on the new ledger. It’s a significant project that will take a few months to complete, and we expect to have it in beta early in the new year.
The designs have already been reviewed by several customers, whose feedback has been positive and included valuable suggestions for improvement.
Our focus is on keeping the experience simple and intuitive while making financial data as clear and accessible as possible.

This is a top priority for our office! So glad that the ledger update is already underway! Another thing to take into account that would be super helpful is to be able to make a Bulk Payment - often insurances send a single check that includes an itemized breakdown of amounts that are being paid out for a list of patients. Currently we have to post the payments individually in each patient's ledger and re-enter the check information each time - supporting the posting of a bulk payment that is applied to a selection of patients would be great.

Joseph Mullen: bulk payment is something we're talking about also. We've introduced the one-off claim and will be releasing the ability to settle charges attached to procedures for an appointment in the coming weeks (claim and/or invoice) with a few easy clicks. Bulk posting and insurance pre-auth are also on our roadmap. no ETA on those just yet however.

Garvan Gallagher OK cool, thanks for the heads up

Joseph Mullen Coming from Cloud 9 where we did have these capabilities, this has been extremely time consuming and tedious to do for our practice. We are hoping something is in the works to address this.

Spencer Hansen The Bulk payments for insurance is MUCH needed.

Yes new ledger is needed!! Also a better cross over to claims associated with that patient., being able to get to their claim(s) quickly from the insurance ledger.
Being able to have multiple linked family members that have the same Payor on 1 statement that lists all the patients with balances, instead of having to send 3 separate statements.....

An update on this as I know a lot of you are wondering. We are planning to kick this work off this quarter - very soon, it's currently in design and it's looking a lot simpler you'll be glad to know. We will do some design validation before starting development. All things going well, we will have a beta release by Q4 sometime. That's the plan as of July, but the best laid plans do sometimes go awry!
