Scheduling Templates

Setting up your clinic schedule has never been the most enjoyable part of Greyfinch. We know that.
Scheduling templates are a full rebuild of how this works. Define your clinic's standard week once: how many chairs are active on a given day, and for each chair, which appointment types are available and when.
Templates combine appointment classes and appointment types to give you flexible, granular control, with an easier user experience.
Applying or changing a schedule becomes a single action. Faster to set up, easier to maintain, and a lot more intuitive than the current experience.

Garvan Gallagher, do you have any updated timeline for this project?

Are we able to have a data set displayed alongside the template while building or editing it that shows how many of each appointment type/template are templated into the schedule for that day?
This would help us build each day more effectively by allowing us to see the numerical breakdown of each appointment type, understand exactly what each day is made up of, and provide data-driven insight into that specific schedule.

agreed. a common feature of legacy PMs that I miss

this is absolutely the worst thing I've ever seen - need to be a drag and drop with appointment types- we should also be able to toggle on the template underneath active schedules

Gavan, I think there is multiple issues at play. We have our scheduling template planned out so that our day fits together. We do not want our team to put appointments just anywhere, whether it is an emergency or not. It would be really helpful to have a single toggle button that shows the template so that if the team needs to override the schedule at least they are putting an appointment in a spot that is carved out for someone to see the patient versus not knowing the template and putting them anywher or when you got ot drag and drop. Right now you can go through and click all the appt types in the top toggle. But this is also werid because really you dont need every single appt type clicked as many of them fit in a similar spot. Hope that helps

Hi Vincent Napoli. Thanks for your message. It sounds like you’re using the new calendar, which is nearly out of beta. While it’s already functional, some features are still being refined or added based on user feedback - much of which comes from our active feedback group.
To better assist you, could you clarify the specific issue you’re experiencing? From your note, it’s a bit unclear. If I’m reading between the lines, it sounds like you might be expecting the templated slots to highlight when dragging an appointment from one time to another, is that correct? If so, our team is pushing a fix for this which should be there by Friday.
The drag-and-drop feature was only recently introduced, so some polish is still in progress. For any issues needing immediate attention, our support team is the best point of contact and can help troubleshoot directly.
Thanks again for taking the time to share feedback.

Garvan Gallagher thanks for taking time to reply. I’m referring to building the template. The process is visual, and the ability to see multiple chairs at once is important. Making a template took me hours while I use to be able to make a template on focus in seconds. I recommend instead of using the chair by chair process, the entire schedule as a whole (all chairs) can be seen and then drag and drop potential appointments onto the schedule like Tetris.

Vincent Napoli the whole scheduling piece / templating and chair setup is going to be overhauled. I understand your frustration in this area but rest assured, it's on our roadmap for updating. Please use our support team when you need to on this feature.

Garvan Gallagher Glad to hear- I also think that Adam Reynolds brings up the next logical point- the NEED to see the template with active appointments so schedulers can drag and drop correctly

Agree that drag and drop would be very helpful
